For more than 25 years, our annual Spotlight on Education Breakfast has honored the top ten students from the senior class from each school within the 16 communities that the Chamber represents. There are also students – we call them Unsung Heroes – who deserve recognition because of their tireless efforts within their school communities. Sponsor NCAS Learning Center honors one Unsung Hero from each school’s senior class with a $100 scholarship and a certificate. The principal from each school selects the Unsung Hero.
NCAS Learning Center’s Attiya Chaudary says, “Each day, we hear reports about bullying and malicious teasing among students. Therefore, it is important to institute programs that honor students who work hard to uphold the values of harmony and school spirit. Honoring and acknowledging Unsung Heroes is one way to accomplish this goal.”
Chamber members and local state representatives join students, parents, teachers, and school administrators to honor the top students and Unsung Heroes as well as the Teacher of the Year selected from one of our 16 schools.
Lake Pearl Wrentham has hosted this annual event for the past several years.
